1. Payment Methods Available at Checkout

We offer automated and immediately processed payment methods to speed up your shipment:

• Stripe (Credit and Debit Card): Direct acceptance of Visa, Mastercard and American Express networks.
• Digital Wallets (Apple Pay and Google Pay): Allows payments to be validated with one tap, using the biometrics of your mobile phone or computer.
• Link by Stripe: Secure storage of shipping and payment data to enable fast checkout on your next purchases on our portal.
• Local Payment Methods in Portugal (MB WAY and Multibanco Reference): Generation of automatic references for payment at ATMs, via home banking or immediate authorisation in the MB WAY mobile app on your phone.
• Manual Bank Transfer: Transfer of funds to the corporate IBAN of Velyon Research Labs. This method requires sending a legible bank payment receipt by email so that we can proceed with logistics processing.

2. Automated Tax Calculation (Stripe Tax)

• All transactions carried out in the e-commerce platform include integration with Stripe Tax, which analyses the geographical delivery location and the billing profile of your customer account in order to apply the correct and legal VAT (Value Added Tax) rate in the European Union in real time.
• The itemised amount of taxes and VAT will be displayed fully transparently on the checkout page before you confirm and complete the financial transaction.

3. Physical and Digital Security of Transactions (PCI-DSS)

The security of your financial data is an absolute requirement in our operation:

• Tokenisation: Velyon does not store, access or process any confidential payment card data on its servers. The data is entered directly into a protected iframe provided by the Stripe gateway, with the data being asymmetrically encrypted.
• International Certification: Stripe strictly complies with the requirements of the international standard PCI-DSS Level 1 (the most demanding security standard in the electronic payments market).
• Two-Factor Authentication (3D Secure): All card payments include 3D Secure validation, requiring the user to validate the transaction directly in their bank’s mobile app in order to mitigate risks of unauthorised use.

4. Issuance of Legal Invoices

• Automatic Invoicing: As soon as an order payment is successfully validated, WooCommerce processes and issues the corresponding legal document (simplified invoice or invoice-receipt) for the amount paid. The document is sent in PDF format to the contact email registered in your account.
• Accuracy of Billing Data: We ask that you always confirm your Tax Identification Number (NIF) and billing address before validating the transaction. Due to the requirements of the Portuguese Tax Authority, electronically reported invoices do not allow changes or manual corrections after issuance.
